Another nitpick, not once was the United States mentioned in that title, like we’re supposed to just automatically know what country they’re talking about.

I mean, if you even glimpse at the image for the post you're going to know it's about the US.

Kinda bummed to discover they just wear Navy uniforms instead of having ones that are unique to their service

Fun fact is NOAA captains outrank coast guard personnel

NOAA O6 is equal to a USCG O6. Personnel answer to their specific commands.

You need college classes in, if I remember right, physics and some higher math. Not much knowledge for a maritime officer base. It’s more geared towards the science aspect of the vessels and not the operation.

I'm still trying to figure out the "6" military services.
Army- mine Navy (Marines fall under Navy) Air Force Coast Guard
I forgot about Space Force.
So I guess 6 if you try to count the Marines as their own branch even though they fall under the dept of the navy?
PuddlePirate1964 t1_jaefv58 wrote
Yes the Marines count as their Own Branch. And now it’s the seven uniformed services:
Army Air Force Navy Marines Coast Guard Space Force NOAA PHS (Public Health Service)

They used to bill themselves as "The Nation's Seventh Service." IMO, they shouldn't be demoted because of "space force".

Pedantic nitpick: 321 officers, or "uniformed officers." You don't "enlist" officers.
