Then why can't I hear Jack when I'm eating Doritos?

Is Jack eating doritos at the same time? If so, then Jack is being polite and not talking while eating. Jack has proper etiquette, be like Jack.

i have to say, this is one of the best sentences i’ve ever seen constructed for a TIL. it was succinct, informative, and, as far as i can tell, grammatically accurate. well done :)

Grammatically, I might want a semicolon before "critical" instead of a comma.

Same here, kind of funny how its supposedly connected to UFO abductions (these bones are missing in cow mutilations from supposed UFO activity).

Interestingly these bones are derived from bones that form gill arches in fish. They got repurposed to form our ear in one of our earliest ancestors!

And most anatomists ignore that the semi-circ. canals in the inner ear are organized in 3-D just like the 3D dimensions, X, Y, Zee are in our universe.

Here's 3D images of the SC canals as evidence.

You mean the things that help us maintain balance and equilibrium? Would make a lot of sense for them to be organized that way considering their function.

This article isn't referring to that part of ear anatomy however.

It showed the semi-circular canals a number of times over in fact.

You may want to re-read the article OP posted then. It talks exclusively about the middle ear and the middle ear bones (which it mentions by name as well). The semi-circular canals are in a different part of the ear and do not appear to have been the bones that used to be attached to the jaw. The pictures are jaw bones.
