By the sounds of it you mean watched an episode of death note with your parents and your sister caused total chaos

Fair point. She’s pretty unpredictable. I probably should have picked up that it was setting her off though.

I was diagnosed with Bipolar last year. Sounds like some I might have done in a bad state.

Honestly, I’m pretty sure that’s the case with her. I’m not posting to trash on her, I’m just a bit exhausted and figured random strangers on the internet were better than anyone with any connection to her.

Yeah, sometimes better to wait for things to cool down. You didn't FU at all. And Death Note is amazing.

How far are you in it? I'm the type that would be a dick and watch it all in a day (actually possible, if my memory is correct) just to spite them

I think I’m like halfway.

If you're halfway, you're definitely far enough that you could finish it in a day. I say do it today and start talking about it at dinner

The anime came out in 2006. It is 17 years old. At this point, she can't claim a darn thing.

Have you talked to your parents about getting her mental help?

My friend's little brother was diagnosed bipolar 4 years ago but didn't like his meds. He finally went back to therapy last year and they prescribed him other meds which he's actually been staying on. The first meds had side effects but these new ones have almost none, and he says he feels normal now. He's even holding down a job finally.

Unfortunately, she doesn’t listen to our parents at all. I’m 19, and the only person she sometimes listens to, or at least calls when she needs advice for something. I’ve been trying to talk to her about getting therapy, and she’s more or less agreed, but with several stipulations, like it has to be a man, and it has to be in person, that are difficult to work around with insurance. My mom has been struggling with her heart recently, so I moved back home to be the buffer between her and my sister essentially.

We’re all exhausted from your sister after reading about her shenanigans.

You can never be too young to learn this: You are NOT responsible for anyone else’s actions or reactions. Sounds like your sibling needs some in depth professional help before she becomes an irreparably horrid person.
