I feel like you kinda did when you said the hitting of the pole was CAUSED by them yelling at you, not by anything you were doing…

You did take blame on running the red light though, sorta.

If you bump a shopping cart and leave, you've committed hit and run.

You left the scene of an accident that most certainly caused property damage so you could be in trouble both on the civil and criminal side if you're located.

You did not run a red light on accident since you admit to speeding. You then hit a pole and was it damaged? If so then you leaving the scene of an accident and you damaged a light pole as well.

Any parts of your car missing? If so then they might be able to find out. Also someone else could have taken pics or photos and reported you to the police.

The good part is you now dont have a car so everyone else is safe for the time being.

You’re fine unless there was damage to the utility pole and it was caught on camera with your license plate. Take it from someone who backed into a retaining wall and knocked off a few bricks. The paranoia won’t subside for a little bit but it’s deserved, it’ll feel better once you realize no one reported it. Just takes some time.
