It totally depends on who is doing it and who the woman getting it inserted is.

I’m one of the lucky ones. It was relatively easy for me, just mild discomfort.

But holy shit have I read some horror stories. Some sort of sedation/pain relief should be mandatory. You should have to opt out if you don’t want/need it.
