I have an anxiety disorder and my first worry was whether I’d be able to find a way back into it as the customer service kept going around in circles instead of letting me talk to an actual support person;; Im not dumb it’s just hard to be logical in moments of high emotion and stress
Door dash is horrible.
I'm not entirely convinced. I had a bank account that had a little over $5k in it that has locked me out since late November, they finally closed it claiming it was "high risk" and claim they will be mailing me a cashier's check for the funds that were in the account. They also refused to say if the check would be for the full amount that I had or not. Needless to say, I have not received said check yet.
So yeah.... I'm convinced banks can straight up steal your money if they feel like it.

Not saying this is a result of a bank collapse… but it’s a funny time to say “how banks work”
Keep your head up. Doordarsh can be weird.. I've had dashers eat my order and mark it as delivered when that was my last cash and I was broke. Shit happens and I hope you get the $$ back. Try asking for a Doordarsh store credit for the fuck up amount.
I had a really smart instructor once that was scolding me over a grade in a test. I told her that I only failed by 2 points (I got a 68). She said ‘no, you failed by 32 points,’ and I’ll be damned if that hasn’t stuck with me for 24 years.
You didn’t lose it over a sandwich. You had a string of crappy things where you dammed up your emotions, then the sandwich broke the floodgates.
Big hugs OP. I’m really glad your friend was there to catch you when you fell.
Uber Eats is worse. They are thieves, I ordered Mac Donald, 2 menu, received only fries and drink, no burger. They only refunded 5$…
Hugs.
....and its gone
As guys we are taught to suck things up and move on to bottle everything up. We keep our facade of being tough, and don't give life the satisfaction of seeing us struggling. But all that eventually comes to a crash at some point, when you've had enough you've had enough, even if it's a sandwich was drives you over the edge.
If it serves as consolation, I recently went over the same thing. It'll get better if you make it better.
I do door dash and decline 100% of KFC orders. If you don't wind up waiting 30+ minutes, the order is always wrong or they're out of items. Doubt it was the dashers fault.
Hey... if it helps you feel better... its good you can cry over a sandwhich. ITs good that currently, as hard as things have been, "thats" your problem right now.
Im sorry you've been through shit Op. Things can oly ever get better when you've been in a place like that.
Straw, meet camel.
It'll get better, OP.
One day at my old job I was having a really bad day. I decided to stick it out despite having been super pissed off at my coworkers delaying me (public transportation). I bought a bbq rib sandwich for lunch and was walking to the break room and I dropped it on the platform curb.
I went straight to the office and marked off for the rest of the day.
Honestly, I hate using Door Dash, but I’ve never had a problem getting a credit or redelivery when an order is screwed up. Neither are ideal, but as far as I’m concerned, they always make you whole without needing a supervisor to approve of it.
In fact, getting a credit for the missing items is entirely automated. You just click “Need Help” in the order details, click something is missing or wrong, select the item, and it’s done. I’m single, so I usually take it a step further and contact support because I’m not going to pay for a delivery when the only thing I ordered is wrong, but support has always understood and increased the credit for the whole amount.
Fuck that couple that made you a unicorn. Sorry you had to go through that.
What part of this told you OP is a man?
Was it possibly the kindness that broke you? When my dad was dying his ex-girlfriend/caretaker kidnapped him, took him over state lines, forced him into a quickie marriage (he had dementia and said she threatened him), brought a disbarred attorney into his home to rewrite his will, and then gradually upped his meds until he died, months before he was supposed to. It was the most stressful thing in my entire life (including my near death). And everytime someone was kind to me, I lost it. With complete strangers sometimes. I was living in a world where I was having to watch my front, back, and sides (the ex's friends had warned me that harming me might be easier than fighting me) and surrounded by so much toxicity that the smallest bits of kindness left me undone. It sounds like you've been to hell and back these last months. So if it was the sandwich, that's a-ok. We've almost all been there and you've more than earned your moment. But I just wondered if maybe it was actually the kindness that got you. Either way, I'm glad things are looking up overall, now I hope you start having better days and can enjoy yourself again.
Their avatar with a mustache? Also the way they write.
I ordered 2 breakfast burgers in a meal with hash browns and coffees from McDonalds with Doordash (in Australia), both coffees lids were off and the entire bag and food was soaked with coffee, cost $35... doordash refunded me $1.20
Unrelated to the main idea of the post but if you want to vent my DMs are open.
I've never not gotten an immediate refund for a wrong order. Really sorry that that just added a cherry on top of your day
Didn't have all the other bad stuff happen but I ordered two sandwhiches from my favorite shop (one for tonight one for tomorrow....or probably later that night) then watched them drive in the opposite direction and doordash wouldnt let me close the ticket or have it reordered till like 45 min later when the shop closed.....they at least gave me a full refund but when you really want that one thing and cant have it it really sucks.
Save your money quit using door dash.
Yeah, I’m not the biggest fan of DoorDash in general but it seems like the better of the food delivery services where I live but that’s not saying much. The main reason why I order from them is pure convenience. Where I live it’s mostly street parking as is where a lot of my favorite restaurants are. That already makes it difficult enough plus I work on the opposite side of town from where a lot of my favorite restaurants are. That said DoorDash seems to mishandle like 1 out of every 5th order. When it’s a missing item, they’re really good about refunding but if it’s like spilt food/bad packaging, they seem to be less understanding with their automated service.
They actually don’t do this much anymore, I only get like two dollars out of ten when i have to report something not correct or they give me coupons for liquor stores I don’t go to-
I just wanted to treat myself :c
Thanks ❤️
it honestly wasn’t even me crying over the sandwich, I was crying about my mum, but yea I get what you’re saying/gen
I'm really sorry man. I hope things get better for you, and i hope your life only improves. You seem like a good guy, to get out of all that with your head on your shoulders.

Why?
That's not... how banks work.
