My cousin (22F) decided to plan an (extended) family road trip to Niagara falls to celebrate her birthday. I (18F) naturally wanted to go and I thought it would be fine, because my grandmother always ended up doing the planning for the trip and she did. The thing about my cousin is she's a bit silly and unaware for lack of a better word. For example this morning when we departed on our way to the train station she had suddenly remembered that she left her and her daughter's (F4) passport in her apartment, because we were also planning on going to Canada. Which, to be fair as someone with crippling ADHD I can't be mad (Afaik she doesn't have ADHD.) She's had a rough life and been through a lot no hate on her. These are all normal human mistakes.
Now here's what's not a normal mistake, during our stop in a city she giddily reveals to me that she brought her GLOCK onto the trip with us. I cannot begin to exclaim how many laws she's breaking dragging that thing through I guess 13 different states. I don't know if its even legal. I'm not against firearms ot anything but when you're going the on a train that explicitly prohibits firearms, you shouldn't bring one much less bring if the train makes it way across virtually the entire continental united states. Much more less if we go to Canada because i wouldn't be surprised if she tried to bring it to mother fucking Canada. I'm not sure if she's been through customs and been abroad as an adult or ever. But this is basic common sense lmao.
This is a federal crime. Doesn't help that she's black. She could get us all killed.
tldr: my cousin brought a gun with her on a cross country train trip which is highly illegal

You're not gonna get killed, lol, but yeah that's mega stupid. Worst they'll do is fine you and put you on the news. It's unlikely Customs will find the gun on a road trip, unless you start panicking and they decide to do a search.
You should probably inform her about this shit, if you already haven't.
