I will admit it.
I was wrong.
I wanted to be right.
A reimagining of a classic was exciting. I had hope and thought it was wrong to judge a new show by its trailer.
Zoinks!
I was brutally wrong.
This feels like the jokes were written by Nicktoons trying to be adults. Look how edgy we are, sex, sex, sex. See we said sex and nudity so much. I mean I have whole series of Playboys and I’m ENM and this is annoying how much it’s pushing edgy.
It’s boring. The characters are empty and it’s just…ugh. So dumb.
It would have been nice to have some type of connection to the original but there literally the only connection is the clothes.
Scooby Doo isn’t Harley Quinn. The success of that cartoon is in line with its characters.
So I apologize Reddit. I tried to hope, I tried to support, but you were right and I was wrong.
This is bad.
Unlikable in everything.
Do millennials actually think this is good and funny?
Thankfully it’s so bad it won’t make it to season 2.
Also, as if I didn’t have enough respect for Justin Roiland but Koala Man is better than this, I thought it was good but compared to this it’s AMAZING. Rick and Morty deserve an Oscar, that’s what adults cartoons are, it doesn’t need in your face see we’re adults jokes.
The real mystery is how this show got made.
EDIT: I wrote this and a kind Redditor let me k ow that Roiland may have domestic abuse charges, damn. I don’t know details and do not support that. Can’t we just make good cartoons and have people treat people okay. Guess that’s too much to ask
