No, he actually tweeted about this a while ago about how he was told they were going in a different direction with it. Makes sense since they've retconned the show out of the Arrowverse.

My bad I got mixed up. He also said he wasn’t sure if he could have done it anyway as he’s meant to be filming something for NBC in February. My bad.
