Love that among all the other things the big shocker for me is that Ted McGinley is in it. I haven't thought about him in ages, cool to see him turn up in a prestige comedy.

A coworker just told me about Fauda and was raving about it. I had never heard of it before. Any good?

The premise sounded really interesting … the preview looked hilarious… but this review takes me all the way in. I’m so excited for this show.

All the way back to Freaks & Geeks, Jason Segel always seemed to have more going on in his head than the rest of the Apatow crew, he's a lo-fi Rennaissance Man. I still wanna see a full Dracula puppet movie. This is gonna be fantastic. Oh and Harrison Ford is pretty good too.

His Dispatches from Elsewhere is an amazing journey.

It's a really great show. The tension level in on par with 24.
Mythic514 t1_j5nm49v wrote
Never watched 24, but I did watch Homeland. When he described it, it sounded reminiscent of Homeland, but maybe a bit more tense.

I haven't looked at Rolling Stone in years. Are they always so extra with the asterisks or is that a Sepinwall thing? I've only encountered him on podcasts I guess.
qtx t1_j5o1s0a wrote
What's wrong with using asterisks to point to footnotes?
Iknowyourchicken t1_j5ob76o wrote
An asterisk shot my paw.
Seriously, though, I was just wondering if this is par for the course for RS. It's ok if you don't know
Bhu124 t1_j5ohyus wrote
It's a Sepinwall thing and Sepinwall's really been doing his own separate thing regardless of whichever media outlet he's worked for.
LyingCaterpillar t1_j5oowgw wrote
The ending was pretty bad though.
bros402 t1_j5opz5u wrote
Sepinwall thing iirc

Shrink Next Door and now Shrinking on Apple TV, The Patient on FX (or FXXXX or whatever), all different kinds of shows shows, but have we reached peak therapist TV?
maqikelefant t1_j5q031u wrote
Yeah Segel's a really special talent, very unique among his peers. I'm super excited to see him doing comedy again after so many years of nothing but dramas.
Remarkable_Being4887 t1_j5q21ic wrote
Yeah that took a turn and left me not interested.

Oh man, I was thinking I might check this out sometime after it dropped but the way Sepinwall's making it sound this could be better than Ted Lasso was in multiple ways.
Not least of which being, you know, Harrison Ford is in it.
