Matt Weiner wrote 12 episodes of the Sopranos and then created and wrote most of Mad Men. That’s pretty hard to compete with.

Obviously a shoutout to David Simon who’s written multiple incredible pieces of work, but I’d give Weiner the edge

Lot of love for Vince Gilligan as he deserves but if we’re talking strictly about writing he’s probably a notch below those two. In terms of overall maker of television, if his next project lands he’ll easily be the top dog
