Will we ever see a Wayne Season 2?

I was late to the party and started watching the first couple episodes of Wayne (2019) in the first lockdown but for some unknown reason I never finished them - just watched them all and kind of at a loss to see why there's hasn't been a sequel series greenlit yet. I then realised we're now 4(!) years on from the original series but man if there's ever a show I could magically wave a wand to get more episodes of, it would be Wayne (and also a 3rd season of Utopia UK - yes I'm still pissed about that all these years later). If you haven't seen these yet please give them a shot, it's an awesome series that we definitely deserve to see more of.

Aw man such a shame. Oh well I'd happily rewatch season 1 again and probably will at some point.

It was canceled. The only way it would come back is if they remade the show from the start. Which is unlikely to happen.

Bummer! It's not a perfect show but definitely one that left me thinking Season 2 could have elevated it further.

Amazon said they would do a second season if it was popular on their app. They released a crazy spoiler filled trailer that gave most of the show away and put this huge ad on their front page for over a month. Nobody watched it. Its a shame too because its fucking awesome.

Edit : If anyone is interested in the show, don't go looking for a trailer. It will spoil the entire show. I can't seem to find any of the old Youtube TV trailers, just the insane prime one.

The Youtube Red trailers had me so confused because I thought it was related to Batman since his name was Wayne. The comments were also confused. haha

This post has just prompted me to do a 3rd rewatch. The first two were in 2019, so it will be a welcome reminder of how much I adored this show. I wish it would have been picked up for season 2!

The name, though. The name was a mistake. It sounds even more Batman-adjacent than the actual Batman-adjacent shows.
