Really proves how shallow minded American Network TV viewers are.

No, they're terrific in their absurdity.
There was a VOLCANO at a mini-golf course. A shark on the highway. So many people stuck on Ferris wheels.

I first watched Lone Star then watched 9-1-1. The original is far better, I think. It's still mindless telly, but it's really character-driven with plenty of Chekov's Guns. Lone Star hasn't been the same since season 1, although that has nothing to do with Gina Torres. She is really good.

maybe a recurring character crossing over as a 911 call

Yeah guess we can’t all be high brow viewers of South Park and Always Sunny like the rest of Reddit. Haha they’re all terrible people!!

Not only are those not on Network TV, they aren't in my top 50 of all shows. Sorry.

They are the most entertaining shows on television

That's pretty sad

Why? They are wildly entertaining. It’s essentially a remake of the show Emergency!. Beautiful people in ridiculously outlandish scenarios.

Every episode I watch I just think “that production meeting must have been wild”

I find myself looking forward to Lone Star a lot more. I find a majority of the characters more enticing and the acting overall a smidge better.
OG 911 has been in a bit of a rut this season where it feels like all of the characters are rehashing past storylines and treading water. Angela Bassett is of course a powerhouse as always, but a lot of the actors (especially anybody associated with the 911 call center) feel like they’re reading cue cards.

I still can't quite get over Bobby and Athena's quick hookup, but I'm good with both characters individually. Season 6 is definitely a bit stale atm and end of season 5 was a bit of a fuck up, in my mind. Although Eddie's breakdown was just incredible and long overdue.
The problem with LS I have is that they have borrowed a lot of storylines from OG and just tweaked them, although I was on board the Grace and Judd ship from the start. I only noticed this after watching 911, but I'm now reluctant to go back to it. I like the characters, I think they're all well-written, but I was disappointed in the Ass Pull of Owen's PTSD regarding clowns. I know it was tied back to his absent dad but it still seemed to come out of nowhere.
Anyway, I'll come back to it I'm sure, just to finish it off. Right now someone else recommended Chicago Med and I'm getting into it (I had mentioned I was interested in Chicago Fire and they suggested Med instead).

I might have to give the Chicago series a look.
I’m one episode away from being caught up on The Rookie/The Rookie Feds and find myself still in the mood for procedurals.

Yeah, I'm getting right into the procedurals of late. Late last year I think I just needed some mindless drama and getting into a new series was becoming seriously difficult given it was the end of the year for work (I'm in Australia so summer break has just passed).
I might give The Rookie a go as well. It looks alright.
Chicago Med/PD/Fire are all set in the same universe. Created by Dick Wolf (Law & Order).

It took me a bit to get into, but I got to the point where I looked forward to getting home to watch it and got invested with the characters. The story structure is a lot like 911 where it’s them responding to various calls throughout rather than a single case with the occasional episode focusing on a single plot.
If you’ve watched Castle, it’s the same producer

I haven't, but I've heard about it. Good to know.
