I agree but many want to feel close to those times they loved when an actor/actress or any famous person passes. It's losing a part of our past.

I can see it both ways.

When someone dies people actually get nostalgic about their performances and seek them out.

When it’s old stuff it’s easier to find when the streamer helps.

Of course it’s to the streamer’s benefit, but I’m not disgusted by the practice.

I also chalk this up to the shows performing well on streamers after their deaths, thus the algorithm bumps them to the front

At least, that’s why I imagine Power Rangers always in the trending section on Netflix after JFDs passing

Ok I can see why you may take it that way. But for many, they want to watch these programs of people they liked. There's a reason series featuring these actors gets high ratings when they air them.
