I tried this, couldn’t get through the first episode. Does it pay off satisfyingly if you stick with it?

I did find the payoff pretty satisfying, but if you couldn't get through the first episode then maybe it's just not for you. I will say that the show basically flips genres almost every episode, so you might start to like it more.
