If they dropped the whole paranoid wife routine about an affair or being complicit in the kidnapping g or whatever and just had the COA approach her and flip her as an asset with the same logic that they used in the show it would have been way more convincing.

I dropped it after episode 2 to start season 3 of Jack Ryan. At least that spy show treats stupid spy shit like it is.

It would be one thing if she did not know what he does but she is fully aware of what he does and the fact that there is an ongoing intelligence operation. Her entire plotline could end with him saying "She's an asset that is being worked with potential information regarding the assassination attempt on my boss"

Yes, if she didn't know what he did, or that her friend was CIA.... that would have made much more sense. But she was a military officer and knows her husband's interim Control. It's completely ridiculous.
