That’s not the NBC coverage though. So you miss all the good stuff.

Sorry personal preference but I'd prefer to miss all the commercials, and the unneeded commentary. I'd rather get to watch the parade just like I was there.

Not every broadcaster gives you the same viewing experience. NBC is the official broadcaster of the parade, so they give you the performances and some other things you don't get from the other broadcasters.

Right I understand and if you went to the parade, it would be very difficult to actually fit in a position to see that. I was lucky enough to see the parade in person one year at balloon height and just loved it, could still here the bands.

You can barely even hear the music on those other broadcasters, if at all

What good stuff?

The performances where the seats are. I doubt they happen all the way down the route, right?

What do they show on youtube?

Just some recordings from the sidelines down the way. I think NBC and CBS have exclusive access to the main area; although, I’m not quite sure.

You are correct. We missed the NBC Broadcast and watched on YouTube and none of the performances were in it.

I watched the NBC coverage and listening to Savannah Guthrie mispronouncing Pokeeman isn't what I'd call good stuff. however having the commentators there to explain what the balloons and floats are is very helpful. There was a bunch of times I had no idea what character the balloon was supposed to be, and hearing them explain what the floats are representing and what marching band this is, that's good.
