BoJack Horseman is mostly about fleeing from your own mental illness and the actions that flight can cause.

Be forewarned, I've heard multiple anecdotal accounts that its TOO sympathetic at times and can make those issues worse for some. YMMV

I DEFINITELY should have added Bojack Horseman to the list of shows I've seen. It was fantastic and exactly what I am looking for. I've seen it from episode one to the last episode.

You're the Worst has some of the most accurate depictions of both, without being explicitly about it. It's more about how past damage makes us damage others. It's a great show.

I agree. When the veteran started using marijuana to cope with PTSD, that is something that I relate to. Especially the experience of enduring usually triggering sounds without being triggered.
