I'm going to try and avoid spoilers. I'll say that while watching a newer show, Resident Alien, somewhere in Season 2, there was a scene that I thought was completely unnecessarily gruesome.

I have an issue where scenes like that really just stay in my head, and make me super ill. It's honestly killed any enjoyment I was having in the show, and I don't get why shows and movies feel a need to "surprise" viewers with gruesome scenes like this.
