I know for a WHILE it was season 7 but from my memory, it was possibly 12 (though I think it's finale was one of their best). What do you guys think?

It hurts but it's so true.
It felt like the writers weren't even trying any more.
I’m pretty sure Season 9 was my least favorite overall. It didn’t justify Season 8’s cliffhanger, it didn’t bother to fully explore some of the more interesting things set up by Season 8, it would have opened up a huge plot hole in Season 6 if Season 12 hadn’t fixed it, Metatron was a thoroughly uninteresting Big Bad and Abaddon’s position/origin/goals weren’t explained well enough to set her up as a competent foe in need of such drastic measures as the Mark of Cain, the reaper retcon was terrible, and Season 9 just took the weakest plot lines of Season 6 and made them weaker (Season 9 had the less interesting civil war in heaven and the less interesting angel-trying-to-become-the-new-God storyline).
>pretty sure Season 9 was my least favorite overall.
Same here. All its major plots are copied from 6 but watered down. The reaper-angel retcon was bad, and the contrived brotherly drama was most overused.
Could you remind me what the reaper retcon was exactly? I haven't watched that season in years.
It said that reapers are angels. But before this we were told that angels were separate creatures. In Season 4 we were told that angels hadn’t been on Earth for thousands of years despite reapers being around on Earth all the time. Furthermore we’re down that demons can possess reapers in Season 2, so if demons can possess angels, that drastically changes the trajectory of Seasons 4 and 5.
the leviathan season, which i think was 7.
the whole hurting them with bleach thing was ridiculous.
I'd assume majority of the answers you'll get here is that it ended with 5, which might suggest there are no bad seasons.
I'm not big on 6. The Sam having no soul plot dragged and Jared barely emotes normally but his performance was even more bland that season for story reasons. I also wasn't a big fan of the Leviathan season.
What? Souless sam was easily the best part of that season.
The Leviathan season to me is by far the worst.
I quit after 5 seasons and never came back. Probably later seasons were full of bogus.
The English Men of Letters / return of Mom season is the only one I skip when I put the show on shuffle. Every other season, there's something I can find that I like.
Exactly. Season 12. They could've did much more interesting things with finally having their mom back and wasted it on that smh

The last season was straight trash from start to finish.
