Season 2 is underway, and based off this news story there seems to be an audience.

I really enjoy the dark humour of this. I also like that they dont waste time at all. Its like the creator knows to skip the BS and get right down to it. Just wanted to post this to share my love for this series and was hoping others can chime in and generate some reddit buzz? Heres hoping for many more crazy seasons!

Season One was great. Season Two has been garbage so far.

I feel so validated to hear someone else say this. Everybody over in the Chucky subreddit seems to love Season 2, but 4 episodes in, I have yet to enjoy a single thing about it so far.

The latest episode was a new low. Almost quit watching half way through.

I just had a horror franchise marathon with a bunch of film franchises (Scream 1-4 and The Romero Dead trilogy have been the best so far) and I'm slowly getting to Chucky - are any of the films skippable before I get to the show? I would love to just get the best of Chucky, but don't necessarily want to sit through the worst installments.

Hyped for this whole thing.

the show is pure fan service so you kinda need to see all previous films. It really seems like that

this is just my opinion but i dont love the chucky movies but I love the series. i ended up watching the final movies on 2x speed. And they are essential because one of the characters plays a huge role and the series really is a sequel to those movies as well. But the good news is once you slog through the movies (on whatever xx speed) you will get to enjoy a fast fun series. Just know this is a dark comedy and the series only proves not to take anything serious and have fun.

I sort of disagree with the other replies, like it's definitely fan service-y and I feel like I'd be enjoying it more if I'd seen any of the movies, but I haven't and I still really like the show (at least S1, haven't seen any of s2 yet)

Out of interest, are you going to circle back to the movies, or are you only in with the series?

His son is brought up in convo so you would have to sit through that horrible movie.

Surprisingly boring show, episodes are too long for their own good (should have been 20 minutes) and all this nonsense teen drama is insufferable. Chucky's screentime is ridiculously low. Meh. I don't see how and why people are praising this. For example, Ash vs Evil Dead was way more better and entertaining tv continuation for beloved horror franchise.
