Dear Edward is a really emotional show about a child who is the lone survivor of a plane crash. The show delves into his story as well as the family and friends of the other passengers. Definitely a nice tearjerker if you like that sort of thing. But I did notice a plothole.

Why didn't they make the whole plane out of that kid?

first couple episodes was emotional and engaging. later on they star to drag it, half of characters got boring. im gonna watch finale only for edward and de de. im not planning watching if it gets renewed.

Was really good in the beginning, but Edward and his aunt have become such annoying characters IMO, I will watch til the end for the others.

Because modern plane frames are made of mostly aluminum, steel and titanium. The kid's body doesn't have enough of that.

I really like the interactions between Edward & his aunt, & Edward & Shay, those feel raw & real. Imo the show should spend way more time with the Edward storylines vs the side stories. Some of the side plots are ok, but some are just so cliched & cheesy, overall they are just filler. I'm still watching it, but I think there's a lot of wasted potential, it could've been a truly great show if it just focused on Edward. Then, aside from him 'talking' to his brother, he could have similar dialogues with the memory his parents as well, and maybe even with the aunt & her deceased sister. Idk, on the more positive side, the opening song fits perfectly & the kid actor who plays Edward is very talented.

The book was gripping. I was looking forward to the series but realized I just wanted to keep the story in my head.
