Best and worst opening songs?

What are the best and worst opening songs for tv shows? It can be something with somebody singing or it can be something where it’s just music as long as it’s some sort of intro song for a show.

Best intro songs: The OC, Smallville, Bosch, The Punisher, Firefly, Whiskey Cavalier, Veronica Mars, Peacemaker.

It's funny how great intro songs are always in great shows.

Honorable mention: Game of Thrones

The Taxi theme song is one of my favorite pieces of music in general. It always brings me back to that vibe where I can take it easy for a minute and calibrate a little.

I don’t know how people feel yet I still feel like I’m going to make people mad but, I’m not a fan of Better Call Saul’s theme. I just doesn’t go with the show imo

To be fair to Bosom Buddies, a theme song does not have to fit exactly into a show’s plot. For example, Woke Up This Morning has nothing to do with gangsters, it’s about a domestic abuse victim killing their husband. But the lyrics are vague enough that it fits into the show amazingly well. The other song which was considered, Elvis Costello’s Complicated Shadows, mentions gangsters in it’s lyrics, but it just wouldn’t have worked IMO.

Best are from the golden day's when Studios had in house orchestras and great Composers writing amazing theme tunes.

Personally favs would be ATeam theme or Magnum Pi theme. Don't make music like that anymore for TV.

Going against the grain here but really found the White Lotus S2 song super annoying.

I also don't like the music on some bigger HBO shows lately like Last of Us. It seems GoT-lite.

For me, Justified has the absolute worst intro song. Like, I can't fall asleep to the show, because I don't want to curse myself by waking up to that song. Great show, terrible theme.

I remembered one more - Thank you for being a friend - theme song for the Golden Girls! Totally one of the best.

Also loved the music before Mad Men.
