There are many great shows such as Breaking bad, The Wire, GOT, The Sopranos etc. Which show do you personally think holds the crown of best of all time?

The Wire is better than any other show, so it must be the “Best”.
*sigh*
Is that on Tubi?
HBO Max - the only streaming service with "prestige" television. If it's not gritty, depressing, and overly-complex, it's not GOAT-worthy. /s

The Sopranos. From all the shows I've seen the depth of the characterisation in The Sopranos is unmatched. Incredibly influential and holds up to endless rewatching.
Have to disagree about the holding up. You lose the engagement after a couple of rewatches and then you start to realize how much you can not STAND the kids and Carmella lol.
The Sopranos is number 1 for me... some of my other favourites, like game of thrones, breaking bad, the wire, sons of anarchy, boardwalk empire... all great, but what separates sopranos for me is although there's a lot of serious moments, it's absolutely hilarious, no other show has made me laugh out loud as much, and even when I go back and watch it again its still brilliant and it balances out all the seriousness, yes there's humour in the other shows, but it ain't comparable to me
Northern Exposure
Lost
Agreed
The Leftovers.
My top 3 is personally Mr Robot, BCS, and The Leftovers with it hard to pick a top contender. Each is incredibly special in its own way, so it is hard to pick one over the others. The Leftovers is what knocked the Sopranos out of my top 3 tho
So many shows start off amazing but go on far too long and/or can't stick the landing at the end.
As far as complete shows from start to finish that are nearly perfect, I'd have to say Breaking Bad or Six Feet Under.
For individual seasons? Dexter seasons 1-2, GOT seasons 1-4 and Battlestar Galactica seasons 1-2 are about the best television I've ever watched.
The Wire
Buffy!
But I now consider it tied with Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul.
For Dramas, Breaking Bad. For comedies, Community.
The West Wing
Mad Men, The Wire and The Sopranos but all for different reasons.
The Wire is the finest, The Sopranos is the most watchable and Mad Men is somewhere in between.
Mad Men doesn’t really dip in quality, though.
I don’t think The Wire or Sopranos really dip either but they have low points that are more easily pointed out.
So I think Mad Men is the best of all time, but what the fuck do I know?
I am torn actually. For me its TNG or DS9. I grew up with TNG so its my personal favorite but at the same time I can't deny DS9 is simply a better show.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Ya jobronis.
People getting downvoted for answering OP's question. You do realise it's subjective guys.
He even says:
>Which show do you personally think
Anyway, for me Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Nathan Barley
Battlestar Galactica Reimagined
Mad men.
The wire is close though
I know there is a lot of Sopranos love in here and it's a good show but I feel like it walked so Breaking Bad could run. I think a lot of its love comes from how it changed TV but that model has been improved on since then.
I think the Wire is also substantially better than The Sopranos

Perfect Strangers is the epitome of television.
Chernobyl.
northern exposure.
or harry o.
Attack on Titan (pending its finale which I’m of the AOE believers), Maniac, and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood are the best of the top tier for me. A lot of people won’t even consider anime for it but the two I listed have such great depth to them. And as for Maniac it packs so much into a single season, I can watch it repeatedly and marvel at all it sets up and has going on.

iCarly
Critter Gitters
Trailer Park Boys
Edge of Darkness, BBC
for long term, Star Trek Deep Space Nine
ATLA for me. I have been binge watching it at least once a year
Chernobyl. The Sopranos. Band of Brothers.
South Park
'Allo 'Allo!

Daredevil. It's absolutely everything I ever wanted in a superhero adaptation.
Close run for The Wire and Better Call Saul as technically the best shows for me but the two greatest shows in my heart are Angel and Lucifer.

The Wire. The way it marries seamless sprawling narrative with compelling characters and political/economic commentary that’s just as relevant today as ever is such an incredible achievement.
The Sopranos is also essentially perfect, but I’m not quite as naturally interested in the micro themes it revolves around as I am the bigger picture stuff The Wire deals with.
I could also see The Wire not being as impactful to non-Americans who may not be as keyed into the ways it relates to our politics and socio-economics.
