Didn't MS Teams just suffered an outage like 6 months ago? MS really isn't helping their cause to persuade people to pay for Teams. Yeesh.

This, after a mass layoff. It happened at Twitter too.

Dammit mine still works

I doubt it's a wide-scale outage, my company uses Teams as our primary online communication and haven't seen any issues during the last few reported outages.

Ugh. So this is why I've been having trouble with my O365 deployment today.
Still having massive load times when things actually complete loading.

1% of 8 billion people is 80 million. Not every person on the planet uses teams, but 1% of the people who use teams is surely more than a few thousand.

My company lives on Outlook but I cannot get any buy-in with Teams at all. Nobody likes it and nobody wants to learn it. Same story with OneDrive and Sharepoint. People are just confused by it when other, similar products are so much easier to use.
I wonder how widespread this is. Like if Teams is down for 50,000 people, how many of those don't care/notice?

My fault guys. Sorry. I disabled Teams from start up
bobblebob100 t1_j5un5sc wrote
I think it effected more than the reports. We suffered between 7-9am. Few hundred people, and speaking to teammates effected, there partners were too and their company.
I think the timing made it look less of an issue as alot wont be online until 9am

the great outage was 11 hours ago, most stuff got repaired by now

I started a new job about a year ago, and we use Teams. Everywhere else I've worked has used Slack or HipChat, and after a year I still absolutely hate Teams. I thought I'd get used to it, but there are a million things I still hate about it. I don't think I've heard anyone say they actually like it.

Outlook, teams and also sharepoint. I had problems but still worked...

Can't help but think that this outage has led to unprecedented levels of productivity as people can finally be left alone to actually get some work done.

Where do you get that idea? Azure's status page showed services were impacted in Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. Only services in China and its platform for governments were not hit.
Teams wasn't working for our entire international company (~30k users).
CyberKingfisher t1_j5vbar3 wrote
That’s interesting and unlucky. I was being facetious - we weren’t affected as far as I know, I know that because there was no break in service for our global teams.
BriggsWellman t1_j5vcenr wrote
Not down enough. I still had to work.

Every company has a person or a few people who do just that. Crazy.

I don’t miss Teams, wouldn’t be bothered if it stayed down
CyberKingfisher t1_j5svaiq wrote
So… maybe 1-2% of users are affected then?
