I’m pretty sad they stopped actively maintaining Thunderbird because that is the strongest evidence that Mozilla can do side projects to compete with complacent market leaders with a vengeance.

Big if true. I hate their really old layout and themes but will give their new UI a try if it's more modern.

Yeah, I always loved it in concept but the UI felt like some godawful early 2000s deal. The redesign looks dope
