Not really, no. Lots of the training videos I had to watch was on YouTube.
Is reddit social media? I had more questions answered here about computers and PowerShell.
My kids'school has a Facebook page, any important message like school closures due to snow, buses running late etc gets posted first.
Any work place banning me not to be able to access those is losing me as a potential employee.

You are missing the point. Those who require access to social media (eg. marketing people) for their job, they have access to social media. Others don't. There is no reason for Jane from accounting to be able to access her Facebook or Instagram while on the job.
At least, that is how it should be in any decent company that has IT deparment. That is literaly the first thing every IT manager does.
