That may be true, but you have some semblance of a chance to put out an engine fire with a fire extinguisher. Aint nothing stopping a battery fire and the whole vehicle will be fully involved in like 20 seconds.
You get in a serious wreck in an EV where the battery is compromised and you are trapped, you are just 100% fucked.
Edit: EV simps out hard today. Battery fires are very aggressive and fire departments have been struggling to extinguish them with full equipment. You can't deny that there is an inherent danger to EV battery fires. You can simp all you want for them, but it's a challenge that will need to be overcome with more and more EVs on the road.
