He was having problems with US workers wanting overtime pay and weekends.
Seems that the 16hr days six days a week isn't working out so well either.

You realize 80k is a small recall right? Ford just recalled 634k today too for example.

Ford made around 17 million cars in 2021
Tesla made just shy of 1 million in 2021
Obviously not perfect since they both didn't start making cars in 2021 but I ain't digging that deep and Ford has always been a bigger manufacturer.
Needless to say 80k × 17 is more than 634k. So Tesla recalled a higher percent of Teslas. Tesla's recall was bigger for them.

Lol 17 million? You realize that’s like 1/3 of the entire new car sales in 2021, right? Ford isn’t even close to that big.Ford actually sold only 3,942,000 cars globally.

What the percentage of cars that Tesla recalled vs Ford?
3my0 t1_ixrap8w wrote
Ford sold about 4 times more cars than Tesla in 2021. Even less than that so far in 2022.
Multiply 80k by 4. Is the number bigger or smaller than 634k?

I thought you were lying. But there was actually a recall.

Well, I wouldn’t probably say 80k as a small number, recall wise. It only seem when compared to a huge recall by ford.
80k cars seems like a huge quality issue at a particular plant that has been going on for a couple of months at least. Well not that I know anything about this particular instance.

If you go into a dealership here Germany and talk to them you’ve heard about bad build quality, they will be quick to assure you that you don’t need to worry: that was a problem with the old versions built in the US. The ones for the European market are built in China now.
The Y and 3 I test-drove still had squeaking sounds coming from all parts of the dashboard and trunk, though.
