This is nonsensical. It’s like an article stating that in the future when everyone’s testicles are attached to electrodes, some bad actors may give you a shock you didn’t ask for.

The assumption that everyone will be wearing these stupid headsets has no basis in reality. If anything, recent events suggest that no one wants them and the companies who try to force it on us will fail miserably.

It’ll be popular, there isn’t one that’s small with all day charge that can see the world and integrate. When apple makes a thin XR headset or hopefully another company, they’ll take off so fast.

Oh, like Apple didn't do shit that didn't sell.

It’s not that it’s just apple, it’s because their chips are the fastest mobile chips in the world right now. We don’t need ps5 graphics on the headset but if we can get iPhone graphics that’ll be CRAZY. Waking directions in real time, interfaces at stores when you walk in, Holographic billboards on buildings. Literal face times. Like the future is near and I don’t care how much they track me, I WANT IT

Eh, I wouldn't say anyone. 0.9% of the population might want them.

Yeah sounds great! Not just fake news, fake Reality! Fuhk I’m excited, that I don’t have social media.

Honest question: What's reddit? I've always thought of it as social media.

Yeah I guess it it to some degree or can be but I don’t see it or use it like that. With personal life stuff, photos friends. This is like a general media chat room to me.

I think it would formally be classified as social media, but for my money there is not a lot social about it compared to the likes of facebook or twitter. We congregate around subreddits, not individuals, and we don't 'follow' or 'friend' each other.

Frankly reddit is less social than an old school forums where you're likely to get to know people and see the same posters routinely.

No it’s not. The problem is that many people portray things which aren’t true as facts, and that is disinformation.

You say that like it's a fact. Also, try driving with your eyes closed sometime. I think you'll find that the world outside your vehicle exists as fact regardless of whether you believe in it. The only difference is bullshitting yourself that facts don't exist.

This?

"“I want you to realize that when I speak of a fact I do not mean a particular existing thing, such as Socrates or the rain or the sun. Socrates himself does not render any statement true or false. What I call a fact is the sort of thing that is expressed by a whole sentence, not by a single name like ‘Socrates.’ . . . We express a fact, for example, when we say that a certain thing has a certain property, or that it has a certain relation to another thing; but the thing which has the property or the relation is not what I call a ‘fact.”
