It's a LOT deeper than just him. MIT academics and Dept head along with numerous government regulators are implicated.

At least one British tabloid claims he and his top lieutenants are plotting an escape to extradition-free Dubai.

That would only work if no one of importance from Dubai lost money.

Can you imagine how far underground they are going to have to go. It's likely they will have to turn themselves in just for self preservation.

I am laughing at this shite because the GME cult got wrapped up into this as well. One pyramid scheme burning down another pyramid scheme.

Like bad actors are only on crypto....get your head out of your rectum - Theranos says hi!

I didn’t invest in Theranos because I’m not a moron with a god complex nor do I have the time and energy to perform due diligence on this shit.

I pay someone. They handle the money.

In crypto, not your keys not your coins.. Only leave on exchanges what you are happy to lose.

rayinreverse t1_iw9y524 wrote

Then it’s not ready to replace the modern bank as crypto heads have been claiming?

2

deathdealer351 t1_iwa83vv wrote

Sure it is, and will eventually.. You think of all the people complaining about bitcoin miners and the environment impact.. It's nothing on fiat.. Eventually fiat will die and all digital block chain will come out even if it's us block chain, euro block chain... More transparency less dirty than fiat..

Think of exchanges as a stock broker rather than a bank. Also since crypto is not government insured think of it closer to equities... But unlike banks these exchanges are not too big to fail and government is not going to come bail them out for shitty money deals.

But I can use my wallet and send you money without involving anyone.. I can keep my crypto secure with my pkeys and you won't be able to get at it, I can hand you my wallet and pkey and now all the crypto is yours no paperwork nothing.. You can take my wallet but it won't do you any good without my pkey..

Yeah I can do all that with CashApp

I like how all the other crypto exchanges say they are not insolvent and are well capitalized. This shitshow going to get worst as the other exchanges go bust down the road.

Why is that when billions go missing nobody can figure it out????

Wouldn't you think it would be much easier to track than a late fee? They sure seem to be on top of that though, don't they??

Transactions that large are flagged. This is an organization that was already under the microscope but it sure is a head-scratcher where the money went!!!
