Well yeah PC parts and computers keep getting more and more expensive.

Also while I like windows 10 and use it, windows 11 is a insult to PC users in my opinion, it's like they didn't learn anything from why 8 failed.

Not to mention how many people really need a PC? Like let's be honest they don't and that's part of the problem, PCs can only grow so much.

What benefits does Windows 11 offer the user? It has similar performance benchmarks to 10, and just shuffles around the UI in ways that absolutely nobody was asking for.

It seems to solely exist for the benefit of Microsoft, not the user. So what's the point?

If I buy a new product, it's because it does something better than the old one, has desirable new features, etc. But if a product comes along with no discernible benefit to me, then what's the point? Why even make it in the first place?

I think current and last generation Intel(it may also help ARM CPUs but I could be wrong on that) parts you will lose some performance on Windows 10 due to Windows 11 handling big and small cores better then 10 and that's it I think.

Frankly Windows 11 isn't bad it's just 10 but a bit worst and that's why for me it's so insulting! Everything they added or changed in 11 could've just been a update for 10 maybe two it wasn't much, but instead they called it a new OS and want users to install a new OS..o and it's also worst in many ways.

Yeah, that's a very artificial limitation of its scheduler. The real meat is that TPM2 requirement, that they use to lock down more DRM enclaves within the system.

I just replaced my 7-year-old 4th-gen Intel PC with a 13th-gen custom build, and it is awesome. But it came with Windows 11, which is absolutely horrible. Nothing is where it used to be, and finding things often requires a Google search to know what Microsoft renamed it so I can search in Windows Settings. It really wants me to integrate my computing with Microsoft services that I don't want anywhere near my device and is super pushy about it.

So yeah, I only replaced my PC because it was ancient and I'm a gamer. I would have not replaced it otherwise, and it was running fine. They are going to struggle with this because changing things around to justify a new version number and SKU isn't going to land with customers.

My last PC I built in 2011 with a 2600k. I had been longing to play some of the newer games and it was time to build a new PC. Prices for components in August were perfect. After extensive research I settled on a 12600 non k. Reason being was I hated the new thread director needs Windows 11 to function properly. Sadly I think this is the last gaming PC I will build.

I feel old.
