They like Ubisoft have been releasing duds now for a while and most of their senior staff at their studios left over the last few years.

Apex legends is currently keeping them afloat but that will wane and lose people overtime. If they screw up the next Dragon Age that will be the end of Bioware and if they screw up the next Battlefield that will be the end of Dice.

And raising prices 60% to balance things out. But lowering wages. And increasing pay-to-win enticements and loot boxes.

This and sports microtransactions. If Apex wanes, and FIFA/Madden loot boxes get regulated they're massively exposed to risk.

Exactly, countries are labelling loot boxes as gambling so that revenue stream will disappear soon. They also don't have the FIFA license anymore, so there is a good chance a competitor can scoop up that market.

That’s nothing compared to how many are going to be laid off within 5-10 years. With the rise of AI, most companies will need to completely restructure. That’s my guess anyway.

Yeah, exciting things are happening but it's going to be difficult to adapt. I'd say it's a mix of fun, scary, exciting and depressing.

I wish companies could “layoff” investors instead.
