Not only is education itself important to becoming a well-rounded member of society, but when primary education falls to the wayside because you want to make child-level wages today, you are likely dooming yourself to a lifetime of low-wage replaceable blue collar work.

Loose child labor laws rely on the fact that many children do not yet know this. Employers find it much easier to take advantage of kids who don't know their rights, feel intimidated to speak up, and accept lower wages because $7.25 per hour seems like a lot to a kid.
