Back in the day, I remember when there weren't subreddits, just one feed. Then the subs came, and the concept of defauts and home feeds.

In this day and age, I can't imagine following /r/all -- I imagine it would be horrifying. I only see subs I subscribe to.

Yeah I personally never look at it or home.

I use Apollo, check my favorites and close it.
