Check with At Home reality. They work with people with credit issues.

Yeah, idk what they have in terms of cheaper units, but my wife and I are super happy with At Home Here. We have good income, but gnarly credit, and they rented to us no problem. They're generally prompt and responsive to their online maintenance portal. Most of the time they just leave us alone. And, I acknowledge that this is meaningless to most people, but it is very important to us: the only time we have been the only lgbtq people in the building was in the deepest depths of the renovations when only two units were occupied. We're not as friendly with the girl across the hall as we were with the gay ladies who used to live above us, but that's mostly down to her being standoffish. On the off chance you're reading this 202, we might be the old folks in the building in our 30s, but the blue haired gay couple across the hall needs gaming buddies <3

This was my experience too! They're extremely responsive. Our whole HVAC system went out this summer and they immediately brought me a one room AC and replaced the whole system within the week.

I have since bought my own home, and they worked with my mortgage company too to help me.

Oof my At Home experience was absolutely horrendous to the point that the property owner let us break lease 4 months early at no cost and no official record of it. And I know several other people who had similar terrible experiences with them…

That's wild. When was that? I noticed a decent number of older negative reviews when we were doing research preparing to move. But they always seem to have some supporters in new topics posted since I started seriously following the sub.
