Hey! I have a friend who is leaving this weekend and I'm trying to find a place that would be good for all of us to get together at for his last day. He gave me some recommendations to some places (SBC, The Roost, Lindbergs) but I thought I'd go ahead and ask if anyone on here had other recommendations to places similar to the ones he listed. He said as long as it has food, drinks (I should specify we are all older than 21 lol), and enough room for us then he was content. Id guess 25 people would be attending give or take. I also don't mind having to make a reservation either. I just want to make sure his last day with all of us is a great one!

Lindberg's has a hell of a show Saturday night. Molly Healey, Brandon Moore, and their daughter Annabelle are reuniting on stage. Molly plays with the Ozark Mountain Daredevils and has an impressive solo resume as well (more impressive than her OMD work imo), Brandon has literally a billion projects and people he plays with, Shotgun Brothers and Jalopy being probably the two most well known around here, and Annabelle is already teaching music.

Reservations wouldn't be required, though a heads up to the bar wouldn't be unappreciated, I would guess.

We are planning to have it on Friday since he is leaving this weekend. Do you know if they have anything going on Friday? I tried to look up an event calendar and couldn't find anything :(

That's okay! I appreciate you looking for me. I don't think he minds not having live music there. I think he was actually hoping there wouldn't be any bands so there would be more seating available for everyone lol!

If you want something a bit quieter where you can talk and interact, Tabak Co has a really nice room aside from the bar where some of my friends go. It feels like your own little club, and the bartender is amazing at mixing cocktails. Good beer list too.

Big Whiskeys downtown has a little private party area on the second level if Lindberg’s couldn’t house your get together.

Thank you! Do you know if BW has a pretty big fee to host a private party? The last time I tried to host a private party I wasn't made aware of the hosting fee ($75 isn't a lot if you're prepared to pay that but in the end they decided it was their fault for not informing me and didn't bother with the fee) .

Oh shoot. Years ago we had a little gathering and I didn’t pay anything. I’m sorry if this is wrong.

Omg I should have clarified that it wasn't a BW but another restaurant. I had come to find out many places have hosting fees that they don't show on their websites or anything. I've never hosted a party at BW before. I could probably just call and ask if they still don't do hosting fees for private parties.

The Backlot at Alamo has private suites! They seat 12 each but are next to one another so you can split them up! They're $25 per hour and have big screens, gaming hookups, full menu service, and dedicated bartenders.

Mudlounge is always a good choice, good ambiance, no blaring music, good drinks and it's generally a douchebag free zone.

JOB Public House is cool. Got a lot of space out back with cornhole as well as ping pong tables, and darts inside. It shares the building with a restaurant too so y’all could get food as well. Fun spot

Oh no that’s terrible to hear I had no idea. Never met the owner but the staff spoke highly of them the few times I went
