Is there a roadkill cleanup hotline to call?

On Friday night, a deer was hit near our driveway and the body has been laying, bloodied, by the roadside since then. I did a very basic Google search, and found a couple paid roadkill companies, and a Greene county animal control number, but the automated menu didn’t provide much help. Since it’s the weekend, no one answered when I opted to speak to operator.

Does anyone have any experience with calling the city to remove a large, and soon to be rotting animal corpse inside the city limits?

They are really responsive to it too. I've reported a missing stop sign, graffiti and few pot holes, all were fixed in under 48 hrs.

417-864-1010 is the Citizen Resource Center for anything affecting City property. They can connect you with the right person at Animal Control.

Animal control will refer you to this number if that animal is deceased.

When I hit a deer in city limits I called the non-emergency police line. They dispatched an officer who then called another agency who I believe was with the department of conservation. The deer was gonna be processed and donated to a food panty. It's probably too late for your deer though.
