It's still going on. Brightspeed bought out the project from Lumen/Quantum Fiber/CenturyLink. Keep checking at Brightspeed.com for your address availability. I work for Brightspeed but my responsibilities changed. Others that worked for Lumen on the project with me moved to Brightspeed and are continuing as before.
