Never been a flash person, but love some of these designs

Do they not last very long? I don’t have any tattoos so no experience, but kind of interested in one of these.

It's just a very distinct style

They last just as long as any tattoo, forever. Flash is just a pre-designed tattoo rather than a custom one of a kind piece. Usually they're seen hanging on the walls of a shop.

Yep, they're pretty much always used in fundraisers as well as stipulations like no hands, no face, arms only, etc etc. just to keep it as straightforward for the artists as possible to get the most people inked in a day as they can.
Flash can be useful for someone who cannot decide on a design or to get an idea of the style of an artist. It can be a way to show off.

Feels like the tats should be free or drastically reduced in price since this is essentially marketing. Some of the designs are cool, but it's a hard pass based on that.
From the article: "Designs range from $80-250, depending on their size, which are between 2-7 inches."

You obviously have never worked in the creative arts. Tattooing is another form of artistry and artists deserve to be paid for their skills.
Tattoos are NOT something you want to cheap out on. Unless its going on your back and you will never see it. I'm more on the fence cause they have a empty Saturday in which to do the sale. Most of the artists I know don't have Saturday openings until 2023.

I'm saying the marketing company should pay the tattoo artists. Why should I pay to put their slogan on my body?
I understand the value of tattooers, and I have happily paid for several tattoos. I'm just not going to pay that high amount of money to wear a slogan for a marketing company.

Sorry. I was coming to the defense of underpaid creatives. I didn't read the part about it being done with a marketing company's logo and sayings. I agree with you on that. It is weird to pay to wear their logo on your body permanently, unless its a company you really love/support/involved with.
