Basically my opinion. I said I thought the old flag looked like it had been designed by fourth-graders (turned out it was high schoolers but still) and the elements chosen had virtually no significance (unlike the new one where everything was chosen due to significance), and I didnāt understand why people were suddenly freaking out about āpreserving the historyā of the old flag and trying to find ways of buying one, and maybe they should take that money and give it to organizations that were trying to preserve ACTUAL history. Little Dick Crabtree didnāt like that.

He does a lot of historical research - heās also a real estate agent, I believe, and heās worked with a lot of historic properties. Great stories and he gets a lot of pictures from the News-Leader archives. He also rules the group with an iron fist and will instantly kick out and block anyone who dissents in any way. I joined another local history FB group and there are a dozen stories of people who pissed off Richard Crabtree.
