Does anyone have a recommendation for a pharmacy that is reasonably quick with processing scripts, not waiting in line forever, and not making mistakes? I’ve had it with Walgreens. I know CVS is just another big chain, but are they any better?

I've been using CVS in Nixa for 6 years and CVS as a chain for 10+ years. Although the lines get long in Nixa sometimes, I haven't had any major issues in 10+ years that were the fault of CVS.

All of the big issues I've had were due to mistakes or policies in place from a doctor or insurance company.

I just stopped using Walgreens (specifically at sunshine and Ventura fuck that place). I moved to CVS at battlefield and lone pine.

One of my coworkers was singing the praises of the Walmart pharmacy. Seems counterintuitive.

Walmart has us all over a barrel with the prices and convenience

Battlefield Pharmacy.
II know it's only one location, but they are spot on with my scripts and always there for any questions I might have.

I think that’s fairly close to me, I will check it out!

I got my Covid shot(s) from the Owner and I've never had any issues. I like them.

Grove. They even deliver!

I used grove but moved to CVS because I was able to save around $40 a month. I really want to support local but almost $500 a year is a lot to me.

I use the pharmacy at the Neighborhood Market at the corner of Campbell and Grand.

The majority of the customers to the grocery store there are college students who mostly don't use the pharmacy. I rarely have more than one person ahead of me when I go to pick up my medications and I usually don't have to wait at all.

Side note: most of what I get are generics so having them on hand hasn't been an issue.

Walgreens at St. Louis and National had a flyer on their pharmacy counter saying that they are not filling many prescriptions there anymore. Most are going to an offsite pharmacy filling station and being shipped there. The last few months I have had some absolutely necessary asthma prescriptions take several days to be filled due to that new process, to the point that I ran out. These are prescriptions I have on auto refill and have had set up that way for some time now. I can’t place an order earlier to make up for this ridiculously slow process without insurance protesting. I am about to be done as well.

That is ridiculous! I know they’re all short staffed and covid has taken a toll, but that’s unacceptable!

Costco. The membership fee will pay for itself in Rx discounts quickly

Just an FYI, you don’t have to have a Costco membership to utilize their pharmacy. Same goes for Sam’s.

CVS off National near MSU and the new Andy's Frozen Custard, I think it's Elm Street. Always good service and no long wait time.

I second this location. I have had a minute clinic appointment and left with my prescription in under 20 minutes. The only time I've beaten them from the doctor it was for a more rarely used medication that has been affected nationwide by supply line issues. And now that they know they have a regular who needs it they order it ahead of time and keep some on hand for me. They've been great. Their pharmacy had earned the few hundred dollars a month we tend to spend on cosmetics there x_x

CVS at battlefield and lone pine is great. Do you have the option of doing mail order? For all the bad things I’ve heard about Express Scripts I’ve only had minor issues and their prices are fantastic.

I’m not sure, I used to with my old insurance and it was a beautiful thing. I need to look into it with my current insurance.

I work at Walmart. The one on Independence by Hooters. You could ask the pharmacist questions and would be happy to help.

I also recently left Walgreens after many years after short staffing leads to late routine refills, 2 med errors and hour long waits any time an rx needs to be picked up. This was at Battlefield and Campbell.

Moved my prescriptions to Price Cutter Battlefield Road for simplicity. Works great and much more personal and experienced staff.

Walgreens jumped the shark since COVID and aren’t committed to proper staffing or service. I got sick of hearing “but COVID” and “but we can’t get staff” with no real attempt to solve problems.

Battlefield and campbell is the one I have been using! It’s getting worse and worse.

Walgreens purely for price. I get several of my meds for only $4. I never have to wait long and they are usually helpful. Better than Walgreens at least.

I’m glad that CVS has worked for others. I’ve had nothing but problems with them since my insurance made me start using them last year.

I use CVS and they mail my prescription to me for free. No problems to date.
