I haven’t seen any sign of any - my husband and I love trying different ethnic restaurants so I try to keep an eye out! I think you’d likely have to go to KC or STL for one.

There is actually a new food truck in front of Jum’s African store on E Kearney! I haven’t gotten to try it yet, but the owner told me about a month ago that she was opening it soon and I saw that they were at the Culture Festival a few weeks ago. She is Nigerian.

wow genius play i hadnt thought of here. you’re so smart.

sometimes it’s nice to ask real people and not a program. and Desiré (the aforementioned food truck) doesn’t pop up on google.

but thanks for your advice. never would’ve thought of that myself

Springfield if fairly limited and diversity starved... if you don't mind Chinese, try some cashew chicken. Springfield is the birthplace of this amazing dish.

Cafe Roswitha, was in the space that now houses Farmers Gastropub. Had one of the worst meals of my life there. We sat and listened to the microwave going "ding ... ding" the whole time they were "preparing" our food.

Yeah, we went based on recommendations from others who had better experiences. I don't recall the older woman being there the night we went. My impression was everything had been pre-made and refrigerated, then nuked before serving (even the bread had obviously just come from the microwave). That was shortly before it closed, so may have been on a downhill slide.
