So I've lived in the vicinity of Springfield all my live and am now in college here. All my friends lived in other parts of missouri and didn't believe me when I said there used to be a mcdonalds in the second story of bass pro. Does anyone else remember this? Or is my childhood a lie of being scared of falling of the bass pro mcdonalds balcony?

Not many places have gone downhill as much as hemingways. The bar is still worth it though.
I miss when their breakfast buffet was decent. It got real bad several years ago and now I think they don't even do breakfast anymore

I worked there for 5 years and even the employees thought this.
Yes, we’d eat there sometimes while the kids got their hair cut at the Tall Tales barber shop. We’d see Johnny Morris in there getting a trim occasionally. Very friendly.
Sometimes I feel like I’m the only person that remembers the pizza at McDonald’s in Bass Pro. It was actually damn good pizza.
They also had hot dogs, always thought that was weird.
Man there used to be a McDonalds in Walmart, right? Or am I crazy? But yes, definitely used to be a McDonalds in Bass Pro.
The supercenter on north Kansas had a mcdonalds inside the store as well as one in the parking lot for a while.
