I’ve heard a few people say delivering groceries for places like Walmart is super straightforward and an easy way to make money. Any oppositions to this or recommendations of companies to deliver for?

Are you willing/able to climb lots of stairs? Apparently every 3rd floor apartment dweller uses Walmart delivery according to my friend.

Best advice is sign up for as many platforms as possible. Take some time and try them all out and figure out what works best for you. Track your earnings, mileage, maintenance, any other expenses and your time and figure out what is profitable for you. Personally right around $25 an hour is where it’s profitable for me but it’s not the same for everyone. Look at platforms like Spark, Amazon Flex, Gopuff, Roadie. If you don’t mind shopping there’s Instacart and Shipt. It doesn’t hurt to keep DoorDash and Grubhub around for those days when nothing else is available. Don’t just focus on one thing and you can be successful.

The app that Walmart drivers use is called spark. I’ve not delivered for them before, but I have delivered for Amazon using the flex app. Both are pretty straightforward, but flex seems to change things about how they operate much less often.

When was the last time Walmart is super straightforward?
I do deliver for them with Spark app and let me tell you that it's a constant cluster f...

They also allow tip baiting. Customer has 24 hours after you dropped off their deliveries to change the tip amount. So your offer looks good when pick up and delivery but then the customer just takes away the tip.

You would think a billion dollar company would able to make a functioning app...but it's Walmart to maybe I put my expectations too high..

Either way it's not bad money like others said but def can be tricky sometimes and be a headache as well.

Sign up to as many platforms as possible in case one if down so you are not stranded making money on demand. Good luck man!

"My" delivery drivers (Instacart and Walmart) say they make bank, I take them at their word :)

If you get in to this, make sure you let the customer verify it's their order before leaving. Have seen more than once where Walmart has sent out orders to the wrong home. This courtesy could land a larger tip.
