I just cleaned this Royal Quiet Deluxe to the best of my ability using compressed air and mineral spirits. It functions great, I’m looking forward to using it for my next novel/daily Journal, but I’d like someone with more experience than myself to have a crack at this thing. I want it to be as clean as it can get and the paper finger isn’t sitting flush on the platen for some reason.

Anyone know someone who tinkers with this sort of thing in our area? Thank you for any help offered!

I don't know any specific place, but if we had one here in SGF, it'd probably be up on the Northside somewhere. That's where the few craftsmen still have repair shops. Maybe one of them could either do it or point you in the right direction.

Try Moseley’s Office Supply, 431 South Ave. They’ve sold & serviced typewriters & such since 1941. 😊
