The Library Center is also hosting in-person absentee voting. https://www.news-leader.com/story/news/local/2023/03/23/library-center-hosts-no-excuse-absentee-voting-for-april-4-election/70042668007/

In person absentee voting was incredibly easy and I highly recommend. Just be sure to bring valid photo ID and it helps to research candidates ahead of time. School Board and City Council races are non-partisan so there won't be indicators for political ideologies on your ballot.

What’s the best online resource for staying up to date on what’s happening in MO and Springfield both— in terms of when and where and info about for whom/what on to vote?

Both SGF citizen and the News-Leader have free newsletters you can get sent to your email. Both give you a couple of free articles but require a subscription for full access.

If you can afford it, I'd recommend paying the subscription fee for one/both of them. I've had a much better time keeping up to date since I subbed and it feels nice to support local journalism.
