They refuse to pay overtime by citing “exemption” because all employees are classified as part-time and seasonal, which is just a huge labor law violation.
If you take off more than 4 days in a row between March and October then you are automatically fired, even if all shifts are covered and you are not needed. I had a coworker who had to go out of state for a funeral and they fired them because they couldn’t get a flight back soon enough.
They say that they are pro conservation, but have completely destroyed that cave and any potential habit that it would have had.
Make their employees work in flooded and dangerous conditions inside the cave.
The granddaughter of the owners is a manager and is a major bitch and yells at everyone, even if they did nothing wrong.
And also they have never hired a non-white employee ever. I watched many apply and all were rejected because they didn’t fit the “Ozarks” look.

Wow, thanks for the info. I'm somehow not surprised by any of that.

Of course. I’m all for supporting locally owned businesses, but not one’s that treat their employees terribly.

I'm the same way. I used to love stopping at Slice of Pie anytime I was in Rolla until the day I went in and the owner went on a rant in front of his employees and customers about how he shouldn't have to pay minimum wage because he could train a monkey to do their jobs.

Their "now hiring" sign on 13 says $13.50 starting pay... Lol, no thanks.

They always complained how no one wanted to work.
No, nobody wants to work for you.
