“Block in the back” it’s not like that gives the ravens the ball back, still would’ve been basically a redzone possession for the bengals, not an excuse.

Not sure why they didn't call the block in the back... But here we are.

That was an incredible game from end to end though, wasn't it?

Know how easy it is to lose your balance when running full speed and someone even lightly pushes you?

Timid_Robot t1_j4p5f9p wrote

Yes, but I'm not an NFL player. Also "a light push" being enough to call of the play? Sorry but that's not the game I love...

Dingobabies t1_j4qd2i0 wrote

The block was first engaged on his side which negates the block in the back. The rules analyst said this immediately after the play.

That whole game was one sided from the refs. The bengals got called on anything and everything. They had to let one go.

Refs let the fellas play this weekend. Some shitty calls as always but it wasn’t really as bad as I expected.

When did the Bengals start mimicking the Saints?

−4

natej84 t1_j4mvuoh wrote

They didn't. If you look it up, who dey was the slogan a local beer company (Hudepohl) came up with years before the saints started saying who DAT. The Hudepohl beer sellers would walk up and down the stands saying "Hudy" short for the company name, so the fans would call out who dey to get the beer mans attention. Although who DAT was said in New Orleans for a long ass time, but had no association with the saints until years after the Bengals.

Not really, I don’t dislike the Bengals and have friends that are fans, but one luck fumble return for a TD was the difference in a game they should have won by 15.

This the playoffs. Look at bills dolphins w/3rd string QB. Also that play wasn't luck, that was players making plays

What about the obvious pass interference by Peters earlier in the game?

6

MoreMegadeth t1_j4k7nw8 wrote

That is very clearly a block in the back though

JohnHasGout t1_j4kvsl8 wrote

The face masks not called against the ravens to Burrow make up for it.

They missed a few key holding calls too. There was a big one on the last Ravens possession against their OL.

mrjimi16 t1_j4lit1p wrote

Wasn't that one called or am I thinking of a different game?

2

downvotemeplss t1_j4lmu7h wrote

Maybe a different game. No call on the last play of the game. There was another one earlier in the game too

2

forte_bass OP t1_j4mnk05 wrote

Yeah and Peters with pass interference earlier, too

heidimark t1_j4lrrop wrote

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. Regardless of how the rest of the game was called, that play clearly included a block in the back. Not a fan of either team, but I'm surprised that foul wasn't called. I'm also surprised it took a block in the back to stop him. Why wouldn't one of the 5 players trailing the runner simply have pivoted earlier and blocked the player out?

MoreMegadeth t1_j4n73sg wrote

Yeah i thought there could have been an easy legal block sooner as well. People downvote when the truth doesnt align with their views. I didnt see the game, but apparently there was a ton of bad or missed calls so they let this one go? I was just calling as i sees it.
