All these new high tech cameras flying around just make me feel like the sport lacks confidence in itself, and is trying way to hard to appeal to people. Our ancestors used to be glued to their am radios during sports events for Christ sake! I mean what's next? A DNA cam!?

I agree with this premise that cricket may be trying too hard, but stop short of critiques of the new technologies. The love for cricket is only growing and that growth is fueled by expanding the fan experience, which regrettably includes new technologies such as spider cam.
Our grandpas would have laughed if an AM radio mic bonked a player in the head, so I advise you take this chance to laugh at the absurdity.
